Activity 7: this is me!

My childhood experience (memories)

My friends and I go to the river to take a bathe, without telling my parents, and when we crossed the river the water is from the knee only, when we swim already my friends know how to swim I’m the only one doesn’t. After several minutes we decided to go home but when we were crossing the river, my friends did not cross where we crossed, so I don’t have a choice but to go with them, because I was afraid to cross the river alone. When were about to cross, I asked them if the was deep, and they said ” its not, faster we will leave you.” I’m scared that they might leave me so I decided to cross the river and when I am at in the middle I can feel the water pushing me harder, I dont have time to go back because the current in the creek is too strong and in that time I already drowned while jumping up so that i had a chance to breathe air. Luckily there is a large rock that I stepped on and I had a chance to jumped hard to the side where my friends are and they grabbed my hand to get up. But I was so disappointed to what they did. But it’s all in the past and I know they regret it and they feel sorry after, when we were at home, I told my parents what had happened and they scolded me, yes they scolded me, instead of my friends should be blamed. I know it’s my fault because I didn’t inform my parents that we were going to the river. That’s why I realized that it’s also my fault. After that, whenever I go somewhere I always tell theme where I’m going so they will know where I go, and I always ask their permission first. All I can say is, we should ask our parents/ guardians permission first before going somewhere, know your friends and trust those trust worthy.

Create a blog post about social media has helped families, social workers and the government in discerning information during calamities. Differentiate it from the past where the information is provided by the media (T. V, radio and print)

Social media is very important in communicating other people around the globe. It helped families, social workers and government in discerning information during calamities. Trough social media every family can easily communicate their relatives from other places especially these outside the country. While social workers if can be a tool to educate them informations during calamities. Our government most especially can spread or disseminate information through the use of social media.

It is very obvious that social media is a big help. Do you remember the super typhoon that hit the Tacloban, Samar, and Leyte? By using social media are able to informed other countries that we are suffering hunger, and destruction of families brought by Yolanda. Social media is a gift of modern time that is a big help if it is properly use

The difference between traditional media vs. new media. Traditional media involve business targeting a large audience via billboards, print ands, and TV commercials. The main difference between mass media and social media is that in mass media, the general public is the audience, whereas, in social media, the public can be both the audience and content creators.
